How

I first worked with Vivi (Victor) in Florence back in the late 1990s… He was designing clothes for Roberto Cavalli and I was creating fabric designs for the label. I was also doing a lot of hand-painting on Vivi’s collections, which was a huge look at the time. We’ve been best friends ever since and when he was invited by Kornit Fashion Week to show in Los Angeles, he asked me to design some of his fabrics.

What

The collection featured bright ikat prints and feathers, all painted in my Sydney studio, then scanned and sent off to Vivi’s team in Tel Aviv. The prints were splashed across gorgeous silk chiffon dresses, blouses and skirts, all of which looked so exquisitely beautiful on the catwalk.
